Futbico launches its new U17 (2001) Mens Category CFAR Program that will take in nineteen elite players from around the world to compete at the biggest and most competitive youth stages, visiting tournaments like Copa Chivas (Mexico) , Dana Cup (Denmark), Iber Cup (Spain) and the biggest youth tournament in the world Gothia Cup (Sweden) to name a few.
With the launch made in July 3, 2018, Players selected where invited in for a month of training to the main base of Futbico CFAR Program in Laredo, TX.
Players experienced an intensive month of training, Diets & Focus Development to improve technical skills and boost athletic performance for there upcoming journey on one of biggest youth tournament in Mexico Copa Chivas Internacional that was taking place from July 23 – 28, 2018.
After a full month of training and development lead by founders Eduardo Avila & Renato Cuen Jr. Futbico CFAR Program was a huge success in the Copa Chivas Internacional clinching second place in there first ever international tournament.
Futbico CFAR Program encountered CDA Slammers from California in there first group stage match in the Copa Chivas Tournament that was a big wakeup call loosing 2-1 on a very competitive edge battle between both teams, The first game was a challenge as we have never played together on a competitive environment said founder Renato Cuen Jr.
Second group stage match against Solaris FC was the complete opposite of the first match by winning on a 7-1 lead against the Tamaulipeco team giving Futbico the top leader in goals scored of the tournament and a good possibility to clinch into the semifinals of the tournament as second best.
Third group stage match against Chivas Milenio was a challenge of its own, Futbico needed to win by a solid difference in order to pass on to the semifinals of the tournament. Loosing by a 1-0 difference in the first half, Futbico gathered up in the second half and where able to turn the tables and put in two goals that would lead them to the victory of the match by a 2-1 lead.
Semifinals stage match against CDA Slammers was a perfect scenario for a rematch that contained a variety of emotions, Futbico was on full throttle building team chemistry during the tournament that took a positive twist to earn a 3-1 lead over the California native team.
Final Stage match against Cefor San Andrés Cholula was an epic battle of Physiological / Emotional & Athletic resistance that would put the Futbico to the edge of its final milestone in the tournament. With a 0-0 half time Futbico and Cefor San Andres Cholula battled until the end with abrupt mistake Cefor San Andres Cholula was able to clinch in a goal at the last 15th minute of the game putting them on a lead to win the tournament.
Futbico clinched second place of the tournament and had the top 2 leading goal scores of the 2001 Category in the Copa Chivas Tournament.
