Dallas, TX – Martin and Frederick Krug, a pair of up and coming talents, emerged as standouts during the regional tryouts hosted by Futbico in Chicago, IL on March 13 – 14, 2021. Both brothers impressed Futbico scouting staff during the tryouts lead by US Director of Futbico Renato Cuen Caballero and where selected to attend the highly anticipated 2021 National Showcase in Dallas, TX.
During the National Showcase in November 26 – 27, 2021, both Martin and Frederick Krug’s exceptional displays captured the interest of invited professional club scouts from esteemed clubs including FC Dallas in the USA, Liga Deportiva Alajualense in Costa Rica, and Levante UD in Valencia, Spain where later the brothers where invited to attend trials.
Following an extensive trial period, In Summer 2022 the Krug brothers secured a spot among one of Spanish historical clubs Levante UD in Valencia, Spain a testament to their hard work, exceptional skills and promising potential.
Their transition to Levante UD quickly attracted the attention on the International level from Panama U17 Youth National Team managed by US coach Mike Stump. The Krug brother would later come in for camp in Panama and earn a place in the World Cup Pre-Qualification in Guatemala representing National Team of Panama U17 squad. Throughout the pre-qualifiers, Panama navigated through their group stage against formidable opponents including Guatemala, Curacao, and Mexico earning 2nd Place in the group stage and clinching into Round of 16 and defeating 2 – 0 against Cuba making a historical breakthrough to qualify for U17 World Cup of 2023.
On Saturday November 10, 2023 Martin & Frederick Krug officially debuted at the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup in Indonesia putting on official International minutes against Morocco at the biggest football youth stage in the world.
The Krug brother swift rise, from their standout performance at Futbico’s national showcase to their signing with Levante UD and their current participation in the FIFA U17 World Cup, showcases their exceptional talent and dedication to the world.
